Hidden Paradise Farms is more than just a farm; it’s a love story and a testament to resilience and community. Matt and Jessica met in 2019 while serving in the military in Paradise, California. As an electrician and an HVAC technician, they volunteered to help rebuild temporary housing after the devastating Paradise fire. Their teamwork quickly blossomed into a deep connection, and a year and a half later, they were married.
Just two months after their wedding, life threw them an unexpected curveball. Matt was diagnosed with testicular cancer. After an initial surgery, they thought the worst was behind them. However, on the day after Christmas, they learned the cancer had spread to his abdomen and right lung. Six days later, in a mix of fear and hope, Jessica discovered she was pregnant with their miracle child. This difficult time made them reflect deeply on their health, lifestyle, and the food they consumed.
Through thousands of prayers, unshakable faith, and the miracle of new life, Matt was healed. Just 40 days before their son Luke was born, they received the incredible news of his recovery. This profound experience reshaped their outlook on life, igniting a passion for health and sustainability.
At the time, the Hintons were running a vacation rental management company in Temecula, California. However, after their life-changing journey, they felt called to pursue a different path. They sold their properties, bought an RV, and embarked on an 8-month adventure across 18 states and more than 40 campsites. Their travels eventually led them to the perfect place, where they could grow their own food and build a new life rooted in nature.
With a shared commitment to service and sustainability, Matt and Jessica founded Hidden Paradise Farms. Their vision is to create a space where people can reconnect with nature, enjoy fresh, healthy food, and find peace and joy in everyday life. Hidden Paradise Farms stands as a testament to their resilience, faith, and dedication to building a better future.
